The Soil Management Summit highlights the importance of real farmer know-how and practical science. This yearly gathering offers talks and Q&A sessions with experts, farmers, and agricultural advisors, valuable insights from sponsors, and informal discussions with farmers on various soil health practices.
The I-90 Tour will feature Dr. Dwayne Beck formerly of Dakota Lakes Research Farm and Farmer Jon Stevens of Maple Grove Farms, MN. Dr. Beck’s emphasis is on developing no-till systems for irrigated and dryland areas in central South Dakota, and Stevens is a 5th generation farmer that has made the transition from conventional farming practice to no-till, cover crop and grazing cattle–the whole system change.
